.:Dress rehearsal:.

We had our first dress rehearsal today in theatre. It took is a little while to get dressed, but we eventually all had our costumes on. It felt very different being in costume. Almost as if I wasn’t myself. But my teacher is intent on me wearing a blonde wig so I feel and look completely different.

I was last to run through my monologue, it went pretty well. Not a lot to say really. Ronelle and Ashleigh did a fantastic job with their monologue

We also set up the lighting for our monologues. We began with Ashleigh, we added two green gels to the lights, and a white frosted spotlight to create a moon. Ronelle’s was next, we used a red spotlight to create a sort of damning affect on the stage. For my monologue, we created a general wash and then added blue gels to some of the lights so that I could be seen in a ‘professional’ light. It looked alright.

I am writing a short synopsis and purpose of my monologue to say before I begin my monologue on Friday.

Still on the search for a blonde wig that doesn’t look like I am peroxide blonde!
