.:Continuing on all week:.
All of class today was spent working on our stimulus. It is coming along nicely I think
I have thought about the set design, lighting and costumes mainly today. I have also thought about the characters I would like in it, not many though! So I came up with a list of a few things, and I took a photo of what I wrote:
This is my very beginning effort at set design, I am hoping to start a story-board very soon and hopefully my ideas will evolve from there! But I thought of one scene I’d like to have today- A propaganda scene. So pretty much, the set is consisting of lots of propaganda posters while the soldier walks through the street, trying to make up his decision on wether to enlist in the army. Also, there will be echo’s of people’s voices urging or detesting for him to enslist in the arm (meant to symbolize his thoughts). Alongside chatoic music, it is meant to show the oppression of war on the young men and how some of them were almost ‘forced’ to enlist to either make their parents happy, be patriotic or heroic.

This picture shows my general and very primative ideas for costumes and characters! I am hoping to go look for books which have what was worn in those eras, it would also be easy to find them on the internet!

This particular picture shows my ideas for lighting, I wanted the lighting to be full of blues, grays, white, browns and greens. So I am hoping to go to a local hardware store some time soon and find some colour palettes for me to work with. I want to use these colours to show the oppressive nature of war, also how the weather during war can be oppressive which makes it even more unbareable for the soldiers to deal with.
Off to find symptoms list for dementia (my main character has this) and some colour palettes, also some costumes!
